The RNC Convention of 2020

The RNC 2020 has been on the past couple days. Of course, there are lots of different news services discussing this convention and I felt like it was time for Seriously Political to give it’s take…or rather, my personal take using the platform of SP.

This was beautiful.

I am young, and I will admit that. I have not seen many conventions nor have I had time to build a fondness to either party or any of the candidates they may bring forth. I acknowledge my lack of experience in this subject. But let me just tell you this…the usage of logos and pathos (pardon that, I am an English Teacher so get used to it) was beautiful. At times I felt like crying. At times I felt like cheering. I wanted to get up and shout “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

No time made me feel this more than when Madison Cawthorn rolled up to the stage. His wheelchair had been his life for years after a terrible car accident. After a beautiful speech, he stood for the American flag.

This happened while the NBA players decided that they did not want to play their sport’s playoffs because of their blatant disrespect of America’s flag. It is important to note that at the time of editing this post, the players had reached an agreement to do their job if only the NBA bows to their will. Cawthorn has so much more respect and dignity than any of the so-called “heroes” of any sport.

President Trump’s speech on the last day was a coherent, beautifully written speech (of course with Trump’s personal ‘flare’) that showed his true care for America. Joe Biden wants to be Trump’s “on the spot fact-checker” which we all know will be a difficult task for him without a teleprompter. I fully expect that the next time I open Twitter I will see the left’s total collapse of reason as they try to undo the beauty of the 2020 RNC convention.

Also, those were some pretty sick fireworks.

Okay, let me make myself clear here. I do not pick parties. It is no secret that I am a conservative. That being said, I do not choose a straight ticket. I individually examine every individual on the ballot and I figure out for myself who aligns with my views the best. I did not watch the DNC due to schedule conflicts or else I would have an article to write about that…which I’m sure I can summarize in under twenty words. Let me try.

A three day convention of anti-trump rhetoric, lies, and way too much focus on the Covid-19 hocus. (Word count…17)

This convention was a beautiful masterpiece that showed the humanity and leadership of Donald Trump.

Maga.
